I have scheduled Isaac’s neuter surgery for October 7. Since I can easily hold and cuddle him, getting him into a kennel won’t be a problem. The vet recommended keeping him confined the night before the surgery to ensure he doesn’t eat anything. We have a small bathroom downstairs that we can use for that night. Should I start bringing him inside for brief times before October 7, so he’s more comfortable on the actual day? Also, what should I expect for his recovery period since this is a trap/neuter/not quite release situation? I can’t picture making him wear a cone for any time, but I want to make sure he heals properly. Any tips from fellow cat lovers?
