Coach's Uncomfortable Interview Gains Attention as He Takes Extreme Measures to Dodge Eye Contact with Reporter

Czech coach David Oulehla gained unexpected fame after an awkward interview following his team’s loss. His team, FK Viagem Ústí nad Labem, lost 3–2 to SFC Opava on October 9. During the interview, he faced presenter Sabina Jakšová, but viewers noticed he seemed to avoid making eye contact with her. Many commented that he appeared focused on looking away from her cleavage. One viewer joked about his struggle, saying it was a strong test of self-control.

In the match, Opava scored early and led 3–0 by halftime. Although Ústí fought back with two goals in the second half, they could not tie the game. Jakšová asked Oulehla for his thoughts on the match while she was wearing a revealing outfit. He explained that his team was caught off guard by the early goal from a set piece. He also pointed out mistakes made by his players with the ball. Oulehla felt that the substitutes improved the team’s performance and believed they deserved at least a point for their late efforts.

Despite his analysis, many online comments focused more on his behavior during the interview. Some remarked on his attempts to avoid eye contact, suggesting he was worried about being seen as inappropriate. Others joked about whether his wife was nearby, and there was debate over Jakšová’s choice of clothing for the interview.

For those who saw the viral video, Oulehla might seem like a new figure, but he has a long history in Czech soccer. His coaching career began with youth teams in Jihlava before moving on to senior roles. He became head coach of Varnsdorf in 2018, managed Viktoria Žižkov, and served as an assistant at Baník Ostrava. In 2023, he returned to Jihlava as head coach and later managed MFK Skalica before joining Ústí in 2026. In June, Oulehla mentioned his goals for developing a coaching staff and using data to enhance the team’s performance.

When asked about the attention given to Ústí’s presenters, Oulehla admitted he was conservative but acknowledged that there was some truth to it. He had noticed fans’ reactions in the stands. When Jakšová asked what his wife thought, Oulehla responded jokingly that she told him not to look at them. The club’s owner, Přemysl Kubáň, defended the presenters’ approach, arguing that the attention was beneficial since it got people talking about the club.

Jakšová is not the first Ústí presenter to gain attention for her appearance. In 2024, player David Černý was interviewed by Táňa Bystroňová, the previous prominent presenter at the club. Their exchange also received considerable attention online.
