Wu-Tang Clan will perform during the halftime show of the Thanksgiving Day NFL game, where the Detroit Lions will host the Chicago Bears. Rich Haddad, the President and CEO of the Detroit Lions, shared that they are excited to have Wu-Tang headline the show, noting the significance of both the game and the group’s musical legacy.
This announcement comes after the NFL revealed that Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show and U2 will provide entertainment for the first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game. Wu-Tang Clan’s performance will take place shortly after their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on November 14. The group has been active since the early 1990s and has sold over 20 million records in the United States, with three albums achieving quadruple-platinum status. Their most recognized albums include *Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)* and *Wu-Tang Forever*, which was nominated for a Grammy Award.

As Wu-Tang prepares for their halftime performance, both the Lions and Bears are strong contenders in the NFC conference. Following the announcement of Wu-Tang’s performance, the Lions improved their record to 5-2 after defeating the Minnesota Vikings, while the Bears also hold a 5-2 record and are set to play against Seattle soon.
