UPDATE: The kitten has just pooped! When I arrived at my workplace and opened my car door, I heard loud screeching meows. I quickly searched the area and found one kitten alone, with no mother in sight, which made me worried. I thought the mother might return, so I placed the kitten in a box with a t-shirt and left it there. After about an hour and a half, I returned and saw the kitten was still there. I hurried to Walmart to buy some kitten milk replacer (KMR) and a bottle. Knowing that kittens cannot regulate their body temperature, I warmed her up, and she took to the bottle quite well.
I am worried because she is urinating but has not pooped yet. I plan to keep this kitten if she survives. Does anyone have advice on how to help her with pooping? I am waiting for a paycheck to take her to the vet. She is very lively and meows a lot, but she calms down after eating. I am feeding her every 2 to 3 hours and stimulating her private areas to encourage urination, but still no poop. What should I do?
