A rescue is urgently needed to help a sick senior cat named Sam and a kitten found outside a Walmart. They have not yet been trapped, and assistance is needed to safely catch them. The message received indicates that the older cat is unwell and may have been abandoned, but that is not confirmed.
Many rescues are currently full, including the one seeking help. They expressed concern about leaving Sam without support, as they cannot handle his ongoing care. They can arrange for an initial veterinary check but feel overwhelmed and do not wish to surrender him to a shelter that might struggle to care for him given his age and health.
The hope is that another rescue group can provide care for both Sam and the kitten. Those who can assist or who know of a rescue that might help are encouraged to reach out. Sharing this post may also increase the chances of finding someone to help.
