While working for DoorDash, the writer encountered a cat who approached them directly. They took the cat to check for a microchip and found one. The previous owner chose not to take her back. The shelter where the cat was scanned for the chip then allowed the writer to keep her. The writer has arranged a long-term foster situation, stating they might adopt her if they can secure their own home. The cat is described as sweet, happy, healthy, and doing well.
