Learjet’s Crash Into Florida Trailer Park Has People Asking Questions After Eerie Mar-A-Lago Video Emerges

On November 1, a Learjet 60 private aircraft experienced a rapid descent of 27,000 feet within one minute before crashing in a mixed-use area of Palm Beach, Florida. Air Traffic Control communications recorded concerns about weather issues shortly before the cockpit transmitted a distress signal. The crash killed all nine individuals on board and created a significant crater at the site, located just six miles from Mar-a-Lago, the residence of former President Donald Trump.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and videos showing recent security enhancements at Mar-a-Lago have circulated online, leading to speculation about a potential link between the two events. Some internet users noted the timing of the crash and the nearby security measures, with one remarking on the coincidence of the Learjet crash occurring close to the installation of missile systems in the area.

In late October, the airspace around Mar-a-Lago and the nearby Donald J. Trump International Airport began using surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems, requested by the U.S. Secret Service. Images obtained by the Palm Beach Daily News showed several SAMs on a barge near Trump’s property. Ex-Navy pilot Matthew ‘Whiz’ Buckley identified the systems as the Avenger short-range air defense system, which is equipped with Stinger missiles and machine guns capable of targeting both piloted aircraft and drones. A Secret Service spokesperson stated that they continually adapt their protective measures due to a heightened threat environment.

After the crash, social media users expressed doubts about the air defense systems’ role in the incident. Some questioned whether the missile installations were connected to the rapid descent of the Learjet, with comments suggesting that the situation was unusual. Earlier in July, Matthew Quinn, the Secret Service’s deputy director, highlighted concerns regarding air threats in the vicinity of Mar-a-Lago and requested permanent restrictions on air travel in that area.

The Learjet was flying from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas when the incident occurred. According to FlightRadar24 data, the aircraft took off at 10:37 p.m. ET and initially ascended to 41,000 feet. Around 12:35 p.m., the plane began descending to 35,000 feet. Shortly after, it entered a steep descent of more than 27,000 feet within less than a minute. The final data indicated an altitude of 8,750 feet, with an alarming vertical speed of over -32,000 feet per minute.

Radio communications between the cockpit and Miami ATC revealed the plane faced “light, clear ice” and “moderate turbulence,” which was said to be manageable. The temperature outside was reported to be -47 degrees Celsius (-52 degrees Fahrenheit), with turbulence causing the aircraft to move as much as 700 feet.
