More than ten years after her divorce from Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert has discussed the challenges of their high-profile breakup. In a recent episode of Ross Golan’s podcast, And the Writer Is…, Lambert reflected on the difficulties of going through a divorce in the public eye while both were in the middle of their careers. She described that time as very hard.

After the divorce, Lambert moved back to Nashville full-time and focused on songwriting. She reconnected with friends and drew inspiration from her experiences, writing around 75 songs in about a year. Many of her friends, who are also songwriters, supported her during this period.
