Savannah Chrisley is responding to criticism about the 27-year age difference between her and her fiancé, Jason Galanis. On her Unlocked podcast, she discussed the harsh comments regarding their age gap. Chrisley mentioned that this age difference was likely one reason she kept their relationship private until revealing her pregnancy. She expressed a preference for having a few wonderful years with someone rather than many average ones.
She highlighted the strong bond and respect she shares with Galanis, emphasizing that they enjoy many activities together and have shared dreams. Chrisley stated that their relationship feels fulfilling, and she feels fortunate to have found her partner. She also remarked that the age gap does not bother her, noting that Galanis appears youthful and has a sharp mind.

Chrisley shared that Galanis, whom she referred to initially as “J,” is the love of her life, and all her past challenges were worth it since they helped her understand what she truly wants in a relationship. She noted that they recently announced their engagement and are expecting a child together.
Galanis has a complicated history, having been sentenced to over ten years in prison for defrauding a Native American tribe and investors. He served time in a Florida prison where Chrisley’s father, Todd, was also incarcerated. Their time in prison overlapped from January to August 2023. Galanis’ sentence was commuted by former President Trump in early 2025, and two months later, both Todd and his wife, Julie, received pardons for their convictions in tax evasion and bank fraud.
Earlier this year, Chrisley mentioned she was dating someone but did not provide specific details then. She expressed happiness and fulfillment in her personal life. However, she indicated that her father was not supportive of the age difference with Galanis. Chrisley noted that age-gap relationships are becoming more common and can work well. She appreciates that Galanis is not intimidated by her success and supports her.
