A stray kitten, about 5 weeks old, was found in an unfenced backyard. The caregiver does not know the kitten’s gender and has noted that it appears very weak. Over the past 24 hours, the mother cat has not fed the kitten.
About 5 hours ago, the kitten ate a small amount of a cat treat known as “churu,” which is called something different in China. The amount consumed was small, roughly equivalent to four fingertip sizes. After eating, the kitten vomited a tiny amount, about one fingertip size. Three hours later, it regurgitated a small amount of white, bubbly liquid. Half an hour ago, it licked a bit more of the churu, approximately half a fingertip size.

The kitten has rejected both water and goat milk, and the caregiver chose not to force feed these, fearing it could lead to choking. They have applied a small amount of sugar water to the kitten’s gums twice. The kitten has urinated before each feeding of churu.
The local veterinarians in China reportedly do not accept kittens under 2 months old due to the high number of strays and those in poor condition. The caregiver is seeking help and advice for this situation.
