A budgie can pick unexpected spots for a nap, like a curtain rod or a shoulder. One pet budgie in Brazil surprised everyone by choosing a girl’s braided hair as its resting place. Valentina was playing with her family’s pet birds when one budgie wiggled its way into her hair and settled in for a sleep. Her father, Russo, who is a well-known animal trainer in Brazil, was amazed when he saw this. He recorded the moment on his phone, and the video quickly became popular, gaining over 10 million views on his Instagram.
Russo has trained many animals, from dogs to cockroaches, so it takes a lot to surprise him. In a discussion with Bored Panda, he explained how the moment happened, noting that the bird seemed relaxed and comfortable in Valentina’s hair. He believes her connection with animals might even be stronger than his own.
The video showed a budgie peacefully napping in Valentina’s hair, and it has gained immense attention online. It all began when Russo heard Valentina calling for him. When he checked on her, he found one of their pet birds nestled in her braids, moving slightly as if settling down to sleep. Another budgie sat calmly on her shoulder, unfazed by the scene. He quickly recorded this unexpected sight, and the video soon caught the interest of many viewers.
Russo shared that he knew something like this might happen eventually, but he did not expect it from their budgies. Valentina has helped him train various animals but this moment felt unique and genuine. He mentioned that the sleepy bird was a gift he had given his daughter. Animals have always been a big part of their lives.
Russo, known online as Russo Adestrador, previously gained attention for his bond with Zico, a vulture he rescued. He got the budgies for Valentina and his stepdaughter, Bella, who both love animals. Surprisingly, the budgie in the video still doesn’t have a name. Russo said this was the first time he had seen a bird chose someone’s hair to rest in, and it took him by surprise. He noted that the bird looked comfortable, not trying to hide or escape, but adjusting to find the perfect spot before falling asleep.
Valentina, as a result of this viral moment, has gained some fame. Russo mentioned that people around town are recognizing her and talking about the videos. He humorously noted that she has become a little influencer. When asked if she has inherited his talent, he quickly agreed, saying she might surpass him in this area. Valentina is also great in front of the camera and often follows his lead.
What do you think about this unique bond between Valentina and the budgie?
