The owner took Rory to the veterinarian today and discovered that Rory is a male cat. Although they had some suspicion, they were hoping for a female. Rory has not been neutered or microchipped, but both of these will be addressed soon. The owner expressed happiness that Rory is now part of their family. During the visit, they found some flea dirt on him, but there were no active fleas, which is a relief. They bought some over-the-counter flea and tick treatment and planned to give him a bath later that evening. Overall, Rory’s first vet visit exceeded their expectations, although he did relieve himself in the carrier. Thankfully, this happened just before arriving at the clinic rather than during the car ride. The vet also requested a fecal sample, which they were able to provide.
