After the crash of a Learjet 60 in a Florida neighborhood, viewers noticed the unusual actions of local residents. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis described the incident as a significant event, noting it resembled a missile hitting the ground. The aftermath left a scene that looked as if a meteor had struck, with residents depicted running around in chaos.
Nine individuals, including children, lost their lives when the private jet, valued at $2 million, went down in the Greenacres mobile home community in Palm Beach County on Sunday, November 1, at around 1 p.m. The aircraft was reportedly en route from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas when it clipped a tree and knocked down power lines, leading to its nose dive into the ground.

One resident, Anthony Blackmon, mentioned that debris scattered everywhere, with parts hitting his house and flames engulfing the area. He recalled feeling as though he was witnessing a scene typically seen on the news. Another resident, Roger Forcelle, remarked that the crash shook his home and occurred less than half a mile away from him.
Footage showed residents moving barefoot near the fiery wreckage, which drew attention as they walked close to the site of the crash. Some people questioned why they were without shoes, given the dangerous conditions. One viewer commented on social media about a woman walking barefoot, suggesting it might not be the first thing on her mind moments after witnessing the crash. Others offered explanations, noting that the residents might have rushed outside in shock without thinking about their footwear.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is currently investigating the crash to determine possible causes, including factors such as ice accumulation, turbulence, or human error. Among the victims were a Texas tech entrepreneur, his wife, and their two young children. Family members confirmed that Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, and their children, Emma and Charlie, were among those who did not survive when the plane went down from around 27,000 feet.
What are your thoughts on the residents’ reactions during such a chaotic event?
