In a recent podcast, Kelly Osbourne shared a touching story about her last conversation with her father, Ozzy Osbourne, before he passed away. This moment gives insight into how the Osbourne family said their goodbyes.
Kelly Osbourne spoke about this final talk on Paul C. Brunson’s “We Need To Talk” podcast, which was released on September 15. She explained that Ozzy wanted to have an emotional moment with her. He conveyed that no matter what happened in life, she could always know that there was one person who truly loved her, and that person was him.

During the heartfelt exchange, Kelly became emotional and cried, asking him not to speak like that since he mentioned he wouldn’t be around forever. He reassured her of his love, especially as she struggled with feeling loved. Just three days later, he passed away.
At the time of his death, Kelly was engaged to Sid Wilson, a former member of Slipknot. They have a three-year-old son named Sidney, but their engagement has since ended. In her podcast discussion, Kelly also praised her mother, Sharon Osbourne, for ensuring Ozzy had a joyful farewell. This was made possible by his band’s farewell concert on July 5, 2025.
Kelly noted that all Ozzy wanted before he died was to perform one last show. She emphasized the hard work her mother put in to make this happen, calling it an incredible moment in music. She compared it to Woodstock, saying it was a tribute from those who were influenced by him, allowing him to say goodbye and express gratitude.
Sharon had shared her own last moments with Ozzy during an interview in December. She recounted him waking her up in the middle of the night and asking for a kiss and a hug. Later that morning, after he went downstairs to exercise, he experienced a medical issue and was unable to speak afterward. Sharon expressed her feelings of wishing she had told him she loved him more.
Kelly Osbourne has openly discussed her deep sorrow since her father’s passing, telling HELLO! Magazine in August that her life has changed forever. She reflected that a part of her also died with him and that everything is different now. She is focusing on taking it one day at a time.
