Technology has greatly changed our lives. With just one touch, we can access the world on our phones, which we carry everywhere. However, these devices can often distract us more than we realize, making it hard to connect with our families. To help address this, the Be Still Card, in combination with an iPhone app, allows users to limit distractions and concentrate on their faith and family.
Be Still Card describes its four main focus modes: Family Time, which encourages presence during meals or weekends; Sabbath Mode, for a full day without digital interruptions; Deep Work, designed for dedicated focus on tasks; and Church Mode, which supports worship and Bible study free from distractions. When using the card, users do not just see a timer or a locked screen; they also receive Scripture reminders to help them stay present.

The Be Still Card is user-friendly and does not require a subscription or technical skills. It contains an NFC chip, similar to those in credit or debit cards. Tapping the card allows users to select one of the four modes, which reduces distractions and displays a timer with a Bible verse. To return to regular phone use, a second tap of the card is all that’s needed.
This card goes beyond a simple app; it serves as a tool for families to strengthen their connections. Setting aside time for family and prayer can significantly impact our daily lives. The four focus modes let users communicate, listen to music, and take photos without the interruptions posed by social media, games, and news. Be Still Card also includes daily devotionals, app limits, and scheduling features to help users track their commitments, form small prayer groups, and tailor their experience to their needs. If an app is blocked, a Scripture reminder will help reinforce the importance of being present.
Life moves fast, and it’s essential to be mindful of our faith and family while making time for what truly matters. The Be Still Card could be a useful tool for this. What are your thoughts on limiting phone distractions to enhance family time?
